Lots of New Stuff Happening

by ed on November 14, 2010

Out with the old and in with the new. I’m kickstarting my web site, as there is a lot of new things happening and it was time for a refresh. First up, I’m working non-stop across both theatre and geeky projects.

I’m working with Orchestra Victoria on contract until the end of the year, as Production Coordinator, taking care of the orchestral elements of Marriage of Figaro for Opera Australia, as well as assisting on the rest of the Melbourne OA Spring season. I’m also going to be taking care of a black-tie gala gig at Government House towards the end of the month.

On the geeky side, I’ve launched my first iPhone app that is a combination of both the arts and tech. Its the Victorian Opera Season 2011 iPhone app and its been going gangbusters. Can’t share exact numbers, but I’m really happy with how many downloads its had and from what I hear, VO is on track for its biggest audiences yet in 2011. Winner!

Getting the first app out there made me want to do one of my own. Two weeks ago I started work on a simple app and it is a mere day away from submission to Apple. I’ll post about that really soon. Its not the first app to do what it does, but its the first app to do it well, with a nice interface and packed full of features. Can’t wait to get it out there!
